Profile

Elina is an Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of Turku and holds an Academy Research Fellowship from the Academy of Finland. She is also one of the Vice Deans of the Faculty of Social Sciences. Her research focuses on social inequalities in education and the labour market, in particular those related to ethnicity, gender and social origin.
